چکیده
A case report of a 63-year-old female patient with a cervical spinal dural diverticulum and intracranial hypotension secondary to a symptomatic CSF leak after minor trauma. The patient responded well after the cervical approach epidural blood patch procedure.

Spontaneous intracranial hypotension syndrome in a patient with marfan syndrome and autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease.
Intracranial hypotension is typically manifested by orthostatic headache. The most frequent underlying factor is cerebrospinal fluid leakage. It has been suggested that dural structural weakness in some connective tissue diseases may be responsible for dural tears and diverticula and consequently leakage. We present a case of spontaneous intracranial hypotension associated with Marfan syndrome ...
متن کاملTreatment of cerebrospinal fluid leak after spine surgery
Owing to the complexity of spinal surgery, there is a great prevalence of dural tear causing cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leakage. Many studies focused on suture repair for dural tear to stop CSF leak. Now some new treatment strategies have shown a promising effect that is listed as follows: 1) creating watertight dural closure to stop CSF leak with the help of dural substitute material; and 2) re...
متن کاملOrthostatic headache from spontaneous spinal cerebrospinal fluid leakage; diagnosed by heavily T2-weighted magnetic resonance myelography.
Orthostatic headache is derived from low cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) pressure as evidenced by cranial magnetic resonance myelography (MRM). This reports three cases of patients coming with orthostatic headache without previous obvious spine trauma. The first two cases had headache with radiating neck pain while the third case had headache with radiating pain to the eye sockets or occasional nause...
متن کاملEvaluation of Non-Watertight Dural Reconstruction with Collagen Matrix Onlay Graft in Posterior Fossa Surgery
OBJECTIVE Many surgeons advocate for watertight dural reconstruction after posterior fossa surgery given the significant risk of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leak. Little evidence exists for posterior fossa dural reconstruction utilizing monolayer collagen matrix onlay graft in a non-watertight fashion. Our objective was to report the results of using collagen matrix in a non-watertight fashion fo...
متن کاملDural tissue trauma and cerebrospinal fluid leak after epidural needle puncture: effect of needle design, angle, and bevel orientation.
BACKGROUND The effects of epidural needle design, angle, and bevel orientation on cerebrospinal fluid leak after puncture have not been reported. The impact of these factors on leak rate was examined using a dural sac model. Dural trauma was examined using scanning electron microscopy. METHODS Human cadaveric dura, mounted on a cylindrical model, was punctured with epidural needles using a mi...
